Vintage Quilts/Featherweights/Quilt Tops/Patterns/Pillow Covers/Speciality Items

I have been quilting for over 30 years. Once I started making quilts, I fell in love.  I was always taken by the vintage and antique quilts I saw displayed.  The art of quilting is becoming a rarity but I enjoy seeing it come back alive.
I rarely use a pattern, there are patterns in my head that just have to come out and most of the time they come out beautifully! Unlike others I did not have a quilter before me, both my grandmothers were superior seamstress’ but I never saw them make any.
Both of my grandmothers had a huge impact on my life and what I became. As an only child, my younger years were spent mostly with older people. I spent hours watching them sew, cook, hunt, harvest, and it had a definite impact on my youth and what I was to become.
My favorite kinds of sewing are: hand appliqué, english paper piecing and buying fabric. (It is a totally separate hobby, isn’t it?)
I also have a real love affair with Singer Featherweight sewing machines. I love to sew on them and do, almost exclusively. I have a large collection of them and occasionally will sell when I need to get rid of a few. They are such little warriors!
I hope you enjoy my store, I love sewing the treasures you’ll find there.
Sew new beginnings,
Sharon
